It is absolutely worth it! This place has everything - a lot of restaurants with delicious food, cafes, bars, beautiful beaches and amazing nature around it. I especially recommend surfing on Tanjung Aan beach, which is reachable by scooter in 15 minutes from Kuta. If you want to have a lesson just come to the beach and ask at one of the stalls (I came one day before my lesson). I paid around 20 € per lesson, which took around 2 hours.
